Required reading, kept short
Some links here earn us money. None of them cost you anything extra, and none of them decide the ranking.
The short version
GFRated takes part in affiliate programmes run by the apps it compares. When you follow a link from this site and subscribe, we may receive a share of what you pay — either a one-off fee or a percentage of the subscription for as long as you keep it.
The price you pay is the provider’s normal price. There is no markup, and using our link does not make anything more expensive.
Which links these are
Every outbound link to an app we may be paid for carries rel="sponsored nofollow" and opens in a new tab. In practice that means every button that says “Try” or “Visit”, and every character card. Links between our own pages, and links to sources such as terms of service or press releases, are ordinary links and earn nothing.
What it does not affect
- The order. Placement is not for sale. No app has paid to appear higher, and none has been offered the chance.
- The scores. They follow the facts described on the methodology page, and the same app is ranked differently on different pages depending on the question that page answers.
- The criticism. Nothing negative has been removed at a provider’s request, and no app sees a page before it is published.
Where the incentive genuinely points: we earn more from expensive subscriptions than cheap ones. Read the pages with that in mind — and note that the app we rank first for free use, SpicyChat, is also the cheapest one here.
Formalities
This disclosure is provided in line with the US Federal Trade Commission’s guidance on endorsements and testimonials, and with EU consumer law on transparency of commercial relationships. It applies to every page on this site.
